Audacity is an audio editor that is completely free. You can import your own audio and add all kinds of effects such as having a reverb, changing the pitch, and amplifying a certain part. You can easily cut out a part of the audio you don't want. When you've cut out a certain part of song, such as the ending to make it shorter, you can make it fade out so it doesn't just stop abruptly. When selecting a part of the audio that you want to edit, you use the 'Selection Tool' and it's probably the tool you will be using the most. There are all kinds of shortcuts on the screen with Cut and Undo being some favorites. An example of the process is shown in the images below! Cut Song With Fade Out
Editing audio is very easy with Audacity. You can record your own audio and edit it any way you want just like songs. And exporting audio is just as easy as recording it. You can slide audio forward and backwards with the Time Shift tool so you can make two different songs fade in together, kind of like a transition between songs like you hear in games or movies. Explore with the program and create anything you want!
I would rate this 5 stars out of 5 because it's free and very powerful. It has all the capabilities of a full paid program for professionals, and it's super easy to use. Here is a link to try it out: DownloadAudacity.com
